I'm Kirsty Jamieson

A certified Strengths Profile Practitioner, owner of Career Zest and creator of the Strengths Insight session.

I know what it feels like to be experienced, motivated and yet completely stuck in a role that doesn’t fit your values or use your strengths. Having taken extended maternity leave of four years to be at home with my three children, I have also experienced the crash of confidence that accompanies returning to work. I have made changes in my life to enable me to build a career that gives me the freedom and variety I crave, and am now lucky enough to support other women to do the same, reconnecting with their strengths and identifying their areas of untapped potential so they can build fulfilling, confident and purpose-driven careers.

My Qualifications

  • Certified Strengths Profile Practitioner
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Career Guidance & Development
  • MSc in Occupational Psychology
  • BSc Psychology

My Background

After gaining initial experience in HR and training roles, I recognised my passion for helping others to thrive within their career. This led to me completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Career Guidance & Development in Scotland and working as a careers adviser in higher education where I provided practical career guidance to students and graduates. Returning to the Isle of Man I launched my own business, Career Zest, which allowed me to continue careers work on a freelance basis. Alongside starting a family I studied to become a Certified Strengths Profile Practitioner, giving me access to a online tool that takes a deep dive into personal strengths and untapped potential, and the foundation of my Strengths Insight sessions.
